Every Hone instrument is designed, calibrated and supported by the same team in Newcastle, and built by our manufacturing partners. Buy one off the shelf, or have one adapted to a measurement problem we have not met yet.

Portable NIR analyser

Hone Lab Red

Moisture, protein and oil at the point of receival, in the paddock, on the header or at the silo. A result in about 40 seconds. IP67-rated, 0.7 kg.

A 1064 nm Raman spectrometer for liquids: water, oils, wine and beer. Transportable, cuvette-based, and driven from a desktop application.

Compliant soil organic carbon measurement at project scale. Field sampling with full chain of custody, NIR analysis at our accredited Broadmeadow laboratory, and CER-compliant reporting.

The hardware is only part of it. Hone Create builds the models that classify commodity properties from the spectra, and Hone Foundation carries the results back to you. Together, that is what turns light into a number you can act on.

Adapting one to your application

Every custom build starts from an instrument that has already survived seasons in the field, not from a blank sheet. Optics, electronics, firmware and machine learning are in one building, so the instrument is changed to suit the job rather than the other way round.
